abstract = "The rates of deforested areas increase as the population growth
due to the expansion of the roads, increased urban, agricultural
growth, etc. The mesoregion of southeastern of Par{\'a} is
located in the region called arc of deforestation. In this
mesoregion has a several national projects, generating profits for
the state and the country, but is also considered problematic due
to the high rate of deforestation that it has. Considering these
factors, this study has an intention to accomplish a temporal
analysis of deforested areas in this mesoregion in order to verify
the behavior of deforestation rates during the years of 2004 to
2015 and still analyze the accumulated deforestation between the
                         years 2004 - 2009 and 2010 - 2015. In result, was observed that in
the period of this study the deforestation has decreased. The year
of 2004 has a 560.831 hectares of deforested area, the highest
rate among the years; while the year of 2015 has a 59.654 hectares
of deforested area, lowest deforestation rate. Analyzing the
accumulated deforestation, between the period 2004 - 2009, was
obtained 2.160.059 hectares of deforested area and between 2010 -
2015 the total deforested area was 480.330 hectares. In general,
occurred a decrease of 77.76 % of deforestation from the first to
the second study period, resulting from government projects and
incentives to combat deforestation in the Amazon.",
